BOARDING SCHOOL APPLICANT:

Choosing the right boarding school for your child, whether it is for an opportunity to experience different academics and extracurricular
activities or for a more supportive environment, can be a daunting task, but an educational consultant can help you find schools that are most appropriate for your child. As a certified educational planner, I stay current with boarding schools, and schools with formal support programs for learning and attention issues. Families use my service to learn of the variety of choices available to a student with a unique set of strengths, weaknesses and interests in academic, interpersonal and athletic areas.  Each applicant is addressed in an individualized manner; however, the following is typical.

1. Review of school and evaluation data
2. An in-depth interview of the student, parents and any other involved professionals
3. Suggestions for greater academic efforts on the part of the student (if appropriate)
4. List of school options, and forwarding of any records to the schools (as requested)
5. Consultant is available to the family for help in planning campus visits
6. Help with the final school decision
7. If requested, monitoring of the student while he is away at school
